Scientists fear a giant floating plastic patch in the Pacific Ocean may be much bigger than previously thought. The plastic patch or plastic soup as it's also known - is in the North Pacific gyre - a part of the ocean where currents meet. It's been estimated to be about the size of Texas, but scientists from the University of Hawaii say it's likely to be much more far reaching.
