Geologists find Canberra once underwater

Australia's capital city was once submerged underwater that's the finding of a new geological guide, whose author says Canberra's environment used to be more like the Philippines than the dry Australian bush it is now.
The Geological Society of Australia says you can still find fossils of deepwater fish, hundreds of millions of years old, around the city. Some are so detailed, the nerve endings and blood supply of the fish can be seen in the rocks.
