Solomon Islands conversationist badly beaten

In Solomon Islands, a prominent conservationist and Honiara city councillor claims to have been badly beaten because of his public stand against logging. Lawrence Makili says he's lucky to be alive after a mob of men beat him unconscious, breaking his arm, cheek bone and a number of ribs.
