Vanuatu's independent candidates want new leadership

A number of independent candidates in tomorrow's general election in Vanuatu have agreed to work together to try to defeat the government. An independent running in Ambae, Jenny Ligo says she has met with independent candidates to form a coalition to make sure there is a change of leadership. Dissasatisfaction with the government has seen 341 candidates, the most ever, competing for Parliament's 52 seats. Only two women are in office at the moment and only nine women are standing in the elections.
