Local tourism operators embrace the Internet

Helping indigenous tourism operators in the Pacific make the most of the internet is part of a global drive to embrace Information Technology. Small operators are now being selected to be part of a workshop in Samoa in November, with the goal to better marry information technology with tourism, biodiversity and culture. Sonja Heydeman reports the workshop is designed to make people realise what can be achieved by tapping the potential of websites.
