Wall Street bounces back

Wall Street has broken its eight day losing streak and rallied as investors finally saw hope the financial system was stepping back from the brink.

The Dow Jones industrial average ended the day's trade more than 11 per cent up as the US Government moved to buy stakes in struggling American banks.
