Pressure on French Polynesia to put fishing boats into use by 2009
Updated
The government of French Polynesia will face a severe fine if they do not get 24 fishing boats in operation by the end of the year. The vessels have been funded by the French government and investors on the condition they would be in use before several deadlines set over the last two years. Now the Minister for fishing in French Polynesia has been given one last chance to get the vessels ready by the end of December.
