Vietnam debates two child policy
Updated
Vietnam's government is considering a return to a two child policy in an attempt to control population growth.
A similar policy from the 1960's was relaxed in 2003, but the National Assembly will vote on its reinstatement later this year. Vietnam is ranked the 13th most populous nation in the world and the third in ASEAN after Indonesia and the Philippines. More importantly, its population density or the number of people per square kilometre - is twice has high as China's.
